Gift Cards

Liberty Midlands Mall gift cards are available for purchase at the Information Kiosk in the Centre Court.

Special precautions need to be taken when purchasing or redeeming gift cards at any of the outlets at the mall.

Sign the back of your card. This will prevent swopping of your card for another card without you realizing it. Check your signature on the back of your card when making a purchase, especially when receiving your card back from any cashier.

Keep your gift card slip with the card number and total amount of the card purchased. Should we pick up any discrepancies you will be able to check your gift card number to ensure it is the gift card you bought.

If you notice any irregularities please report it immediately to the Customer Care Counter or contact Centre Management on 033 341 9570.

Destroy your card personally once it is depleted. Do not give your card to a teller or a stranger in a store to throw away on your behalf.

Please be aware that Liberty Midlands Mall cannot be held accountable for:
- gift card fraud
- the loss of a gift card
- gift cards that have been stolen

Liberty Midlands Mall is able to stop a card immediately once reported and will be able to issue a new card to the customer, but only with the existing balance that is reflected on the card when reported. In order to reissue a new card, the customer is required to produce proof of purchase or receipt from the gift card and their ID. Liberty Midlands Mall is not liable to reimburse any money lost before reporting the gift card in cash or on the new card. Expired cards can be reissued but customers are once again requested to produce proof of purchase or a receipt and their ID. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

When buying a gift card at Liberty Midlands Mall, please ensure that you present identification when purchasing a card for an amount of R200 or more in line with the new FICA (Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 2001) legislations, shopping centres are now required to obtain a copy of identification from a customer when selling a gift card.

Check your gift card balance
Do you have a Liberty Midlands Mall Gift Card and are not sure of what your balance is? Now you can easily check your own gift card balance online. All you have to do is:

1) Log onto www.whatsonmycard.com
2) Enter your card number.
3) Answer a security question.
4) Then click on “fetch balance”.

It is that simple!

Liberty Midlands Mall gift cards can also be used at any of the following Liberty Properties Shopping Centres:Sandton City, Nelson Mandela Square. Eastgate, Alberton City, Greenacres and Liberty Promenade.
